SUMMARY
AGAT Laboratories is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Lubricant Testing Lab, working out of our Calgary location. This position is suited for an experienced individual where the successful candidate will be given direction from the Laboratory Supervisor, assisting with the lubricant and fuel testing experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education with Bachelor of Science degree or technical diploma.
- Laboratory experience is an asset.
- At least 3+ years experience demonstrating essential laboratory skills, along with standard familiarity with lab processes is preferred.
- Experience using GC, ICP and titrations.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbally communication.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions.
- Compile, verify and validate accurate data records.
- Regularly maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot essential laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Operate instruments and equipment such as ICP, GC as well as titrations.
- Perform basic analysis.
- Report results.
- Other duties as assigned.
