Description:

We are looking for graduate microbiologists or biotechnologists to work as a technician in our lab. Full training is provided.

EDUCATION:

Responsibilities:

  • Performing analysis daily, recording, reporting and maintaining results of same.
  • Operation and maintenance of the King Fisher, 7500 Fast Real-Time PCR System, Biotek Reader and Washer and Centrifuge.
  • Testing animal tissue for BVD as part of the BVD Eradication Programme by AHI.
  • Responsible for receipt, preparation, testing of tissue samples and interpreting results.
  • Dealing with customers regarding results, queries and complaints.
  • Daily laboratory quality checks
  • Ensuring all work is carried out according to deadlines.
  • Participate in training programmes - undergo further training as required and participate in schemes to ensure ongoing competence
  • Maintain accurate and systematic records in accordance with documented procedures
  • Participate in project teams to ensure the company remains innovative and competes at the cutting edge of science
  • Ensure all laboratory procedures are carried out in compliance with ISO 17025 requirements
  • To satisfy the customer base to the standard set out in the company’s policies
