THE OPPORTUNITY

AsureQuality are looking for a Technician for their Wellington based laboratories who has the highest attention to detail, communication skills and standards of quality and safety!
This is a role where you will work in extraction and testing with the Environmental team, preparing, and analysing samples in a variety of environmental aspects with the bonus of working with instrument operation and data processing.
Your ability to provide exemplary attention to detail and communicate clearly with other members of this team will provide the springboard to success as you build your knowledge and repertoire of laboratory skills and commercial business familiarity.
So, if you have some knowledge of laboratory techniques, the ability to communicate up and down a business structure and the passion for environmental issues, then this is a role you should apply for today!
This position is fixed term until January 2025 to cover our seasonal workload requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • A passion for science and environmental issues
  • Some knowledge of chemistry principles and laboratory techniques
  • Previous experience working in a fast paced, communicative environment
  • Exemplary attention to detail and both written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent data management and the ability to prioritise process
  • Pride in what you do, the quality of your work and a true team ethos
  • A tertiary education in Chemistry or similar area is well regarded in this rol
