Our client is an industry leader in Australian agribusiness, supplying crop nutrients, feed, crop protection and services internationally. Due to growth and expansion within the company, they are seeking a talented laboratory technician to join a close-knit team on an on-going casual basis.

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

• Bachelor of Science – Chemistry or related
• Minimum of 2-3 years commercial laboratory experience
• Knowledge of GMP standards and TGA regulations
• Well-rounded knowledge of agricultural products and regulations
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong ability to multitask and prioritise
• Self-motivated individual with excellent time management skills
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a fully functioning laboratory. Duties include:

• Physical testing of all finished products and raw materials
• Specific gravity testing, emulsion testing, viscosity testing, particle size analysis and pH calibration and testing
• Preparation of test solutions of formulations, actives, washings and non-routine samples
• Assisting with running of test solutions on HPLC and GC
• Oversee quality paperwork writing specifications and sorting batch documentation
• Data entry, reporting results and retention of samples using LIMs software
