OVERVIEW
As a Laboratory Technician your role is to support the Tastepoint UK Culinary Design Team, producing high quality laboratory samples of seasonings and glazes that demonstrate our flavouring and seasoning capabilities for the Culinary Convenience Food sector.

This position is based within our Tastepoint business situated in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 3 GCSEs grade 4 or above, including Maths & English
- A relevant qualification in a scientific/food related area at further education level, degree or similar (desirable but not essential)
- Foundation training or qualification in Food Hygiene (desirable but not essential as full training will be given)
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Able to work as part of a team
- Good organisational skills
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good general IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience in a laboratory environment and a keen interest in food is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of laboratory scale samples of seasonings, glazes and other flavour delivery systems.
- Replenishment of laboratory raw materials and sundries
- Sample Packing and dispatch
- Upkeep of electronic laboratory records
- General Laboratory Housekeeping
