We are an accredited laboratory having both ISO accreditation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school Diploma or Chemical Technologists Diploma
  • Logistics Experience is an asset.
  • 0-1 years’ experience working in a commercial laboratory setting.
  • Comfortable working with solvents and gases.
  • General knowledge of GMP and/or ISO guidelines is an asset.
  • Experience working with software and databases (i.e. Microsoft applications).

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Ensure samples are properly entered in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and are available for laboratory staff in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all sample integrity issues are properly documented and reported.
  • Prepare samples for analysis, including crushing and homogenization using sample preparation equipment.
  • Prepare shipping documentation to ship samples to internal or external labs.
  • Weigh samples.
  • Sample archival and retrieval.
  • Maintain records of raw data in Labs-Mart lab notebooks.
  • The employee shall implement the Laboratory Quality Policy and perform their duties in accordance to existing project-specific requirements, current Test Methods, study plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Compliance to Health & Safety policies and procedures and wearing required Personal Protective equipment at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Reporting to the Senior Logistics/Team lead, the Laboratory Technician, Logistics I will be responsible for the following:

  • Entering client-supplied samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Preparing samples for shipping and analysis
  • Preparing shipping documentation for shipping samples internally or to external subcontract lab
