Description:

We are an accredited laboratory having both ISO accreditation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school Diploma or Chemical Technologists Diploma
- Logistics Experience is an asset.
- 0-1 years’ experience working in a commercial laboratory setting.
- Comfortable working with solvents and gases.
- General knowledge of GMP and/or ISO guidelines is an asset.
- Experience working with software and databases (i.e. Microsoft applications).
Responsibilities:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:
- Ensure samples are properly entered in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and are available for laboratory staff in a timely manner.
- Ensure all sample integrity issues are properly documented and reported.
- Prepare samples for analysis, including crushing and homogenization using sample preparation equipment.
- Prepare shipping documentation to ship samples to internal or external labs.
- Weigh samples.
- Sample archival and retrieval.
- Maintain records of raw data in Labs-Mart lab notebooks.
- The employee shall implement the Laboratory Quality Policy and perform their duties in accordance to existing project-specific requirements, current Test Methods, study plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Compliance to Health & Safety policies and procedures and wearing required Personal Protective equipment at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Reporting to the Senior Logistics/Team lead, the Laboratory Technician, Logistics I will be responsible for the following:
- Entering client-supplied samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Preparing samples for shipping and analysis
- Preparing shipping documentation for shipping samples internally or to external subcontract lab
