JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing technical procedures within the Microbiology Laboratory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a graduate of a recognized program for Medical Laboratory Technology
  • Must be registered and a member in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (C.M.L.T.O)
  • Experience with and demonstrated understanding of quality assurance and good laboratory practice
  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills, high level of initiative and, organizational skills
  • Evidence of participation in continuing education
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and other computer software applications
  • Preference will be given to applicants with recent experience with PCR
  • Satisfactory attendance and performance record required
