Position is in Woomera South Australia, DIDO 14 days on 7 days off, 11 hours a day
Job Summary:
The Land Management Team Leader responsible for leading a team of personnel in the day-to-day land management operations. This includes ensuring safe and timely completion of allocated work while adhering to all safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise a team of land management personnel in daily operations.
Assign tasks and provide guidance to team members.
- Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion of allocated tasks.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Conduct toolbox meetings and communicate safety procedures
- Perform hands-on land management tasks as required
- Complete paperwork and maintain accurate records
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, bobcats, excavators, chainsaws, and power tools
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders as necessary
Skills & Experience Required:
- Horticultural Certificate IV or above
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience (Leading Hand experience)
- More than 2 years of relevant experience in land management
- Valid licenses/tickets for forklifts, bobcats, excavators, chainsaws, and relevant power tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and lead others
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures
- Systems/Software Experience (preferred but not required):
Microsoft Office Suite
- SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Qualifications/Background Checks:
- Current police clearance
- Contactable referees
- Key Working Relationships:
14 days on, 7 days off roster
11-hour day shif
