Job Description
The Land Surveyor performs all duties associated with surveying, which may include direction and preparation of boundary surveys, easements and descriptions.

Job Duties.

  • Performing record research, construction stakeout, and boundary, topographic, transportation and utility surveys utilizing total stations and data collectors.
  • Review information from survey teams regarding measurement of distances, directions, angles between points and elevation of points, lines, and contours on, above, and below the earth’s surface.
  • Plan field work & select known survey reference points.
  • Determine the precise location of important features in the survey area.
  • Research legal records, look for evidence of previous boundaries, and analyze the data to determine the location of boundary lines.
  • Record the results of surveys and verify accuracy of data.
  • Prepare plots, maps, and reports – metes and bounds descriptions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree/Diploma in relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil , Geodetic or related field.)

EXPERIENCE

  • The ideal candidate to be Civil Engineering graduate with minimum 8+ years’ experience in land surveying field and setting out of works of similar nature or Diploma holder with minimum 10+ years’ experience in the land surveying field in similar works.
