Land Surveyor (Infrastructure Survey inspection & Supervision work)

Stantec is currently looking to hire a Land Surveyor to support on projects associated with stormwater & drainage, flood alleviation, wastewater networks and water distribution networks. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction monitoring.
Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:

1.\tTechnical Delivery

• \tSupervises/conducts field surveys as per project requirements and deliver in accordance with company/client requirements and guidelines.
• \tAbility to manage multiple tasks within a dynamic work environment.
• \tAbility to oversee and manage survey aspects of site construction activities.
• \tProvide support to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
• \tPerform duties in accordance with the company’s highest quality expectations, health and safety policies and procedures.
• \tLiaise with other agencies (Consultants/Contractors) to coordinate the survey work.
• \tPrepare neat sketches to support the fieldwork.
• \tPreserve all the survey information (field books, sketches & calculations).
• \tPerform any other essential duties that the immediate superior may assign from time to time.
• \tPerform the work in Total Station and their associated software.

2.\tCollaboration and working as part of a team.

• \tWork in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems, performing basic design calculations as required.
• \tConduct technical, feasibility studies and site investigations.
• \tExperience in identifying non-conforming works, generating reports and corrective actions, and coordinating responses.
• \tExcellent verbal and written English communication skills.

3.\tClient Service Management

• \tInternal and external client liaison
• \tAbility to build and maintain lasting and positive relationships.
• \tExperience in utility diversions and management.

4.\tFollow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.

• \tComplete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
• \tDesign for safety, i.e., Construction Design Management.

5.\tOther duties as requested from time to time by the Assistant Resident Engineer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma in Land Surveying
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar level role.
• Experienced in Infrastructure survey inspection & Supervision work. Dubai Infrastructure project experience is an added advantage.
• Full and complete knowledge in Auto CAD, Total Station & other related software
