Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
Veolia is currently seeking an enthusiastic Technician to look after landfill wastewater (leachate) management infrastructure within the Resource Recovery team. Reporting to the Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for the operation of the leachate collection and re-circulation systems on site.
Responsibilities:
- Performing daily inspections of the landfill leachate and gas systems in accordance with equipment/system requirements.
- Liaising with the Field Supervisor to optimise leachate re-circulation and management.
- Performing the disconnection and re-connection of the leachate pumping infrastructure as required.
- Identifying and troubleshooting blockages, condensate buildup, and oxygen ingress issues.
- Reporting leachate or gas systems issues in accordance with site safety requirements.
- Conducting leachate level measurement, collecting data, reporting findings and implementing improvement activities.
