Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Landscape and Design Review Project Manager assures the day-to-day landscape maintenance operations of the community and on-site common areas operate smoothly by overseeing general landscape maintenance of the common areas, parks and streetscape, performing on-site inspections and customer service. In addition, this position is responsible for all Design Review ensuring compliance of community governing documents and guidelines. This position supports the General Manager to meet the Community goals and objectives as well as ensuring effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the community’s vision via the landscape maintenance of the common grounds. Additionally, this position provides administrative support and customer service assistance; upholds the aesthetics of the community as directed by the Board; and ensures that the highest level of service is being provided to the Community’s Members and their Families, Friends, and Guests.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction plans and diagrams.
  • Displays strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to work independently and prioritize daily workload.
  • Must be able to manage deadlines and handle the pressure of the position.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service skills are required as this position has face-to-face interactions with Members, residents, Board Members, vendors and the general public.
  • Must be flexible, calm and able to handle difficult clients and/or personalities with strength and professionalism.
  • Must be able to work effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; addressing others by name, title or other respectful identifier, and; respecting the diversity of our workforce in actions, words and deeds
  • Proficient in English, bi-lingual (Spanish) is desired
  • Excellent general math skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Four Year Degree Preferred or a comparable amount of relative work experience; Community Management experience is desirable
  • A minimum of four (4) years of full-time experience in property management and/or facility maintenance or closely related field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to lift 25lbs
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and mobile enough to walk up to two (2) miles on sidewalks, trails, turf and uneven slopes
  • Must have finger dexterity for keyboarding and computer use
  • Must be able to hear in order to independently receive telephone calls and voice mail messages and then be able to communicate the information received
  • Hours over and above normal office hours may be incurred
  • Consistent and regular attendance required
  • Full time exempt position
  • Regular schedule to be determined based on needs of the client and community
  • There will be occasions when it is necessary to work various evenings, weekends, and holidays.
