Description:
JOB SUMMARY
We are hiring a Landscape & Snow Human Resource Specialist to oversee all recruiting and hiring of outdoor service employees for both our Hamilton and Niagara locations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in commercial landscape/snow in a human resource position - MANDATORY
- Clean and valid driver’s license - MANDATORY
- University/college degree in Human Resources
- Horticulture, Landscape, CLT, CIT, CHT, or ASM/CSP certifications are assets
- Proficient in writing reports, proposals, and business correspondence
- Capable of solving challenges, interpreting various instructions, and performing all aspects of the HR role
- Budgetary experience
- Excellent people skills are essential to handle inquiries and requests professionally.
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Good understanding of the Landscape and snow industry
- Reliability and the ability to respond to emergencies or work during irregular hours, such as nights and weekends, may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Recruiting, interviewing & hiring for all operations positions
- Recruiting and candidate screening and assessment
- Select the most qualified candidates and maintain relationships with employment agencies
- Implement and administer employee policies and promote positive employee relations
- Provide training and onboarding of Aspire software program
- Work towards improving company policies and procedures
- Time sheet review and approval
- Provide training and support to other team members of the operations department
- Be well-versed in laws and regulations regarding hiring
- Work closely with Operations Manager
- Prepare and present reports for ownership
