IHRE QUALIFIKATION

  • Abgeschlossenes Physik-Studium oder Ingenieurwissenschaftliches Studium mit starkem Laser und Optik Bezug (M. Sc., M. Eng. oder vergleichbar)
  • Breite Kenntnisse der Lasertechnik und Optik vorzugsweise Erfahrung mit CO2-, Festkörper- und/oder Halbleiterlasern
  • Kenntnisse in der Nutzung von optische Simulationsprogramme, vorzugsweise Ansys Zemax OpticStudio sind wünschenswert
  • Erste Berufserfahrung in einem Industrieunternehmen oder als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter einer Forschungseinrichtung
  • Geduld und Spaß an komplexen Fragestellungen und Finden von Lösungen
  • Teamplayer & Hands-on-Mentalität
  • Gute Kenntnisse in Deutsch (C1) und Englisch (B2)

The Physicist for Laser is responsible for developing and testing novel laser marking systems for Videojet and specifying the optical components and will be located in Lübeck.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

  • Physics degree (M. Sc., M. Eng. or equivalent)
  • Extended knowledge in Laser technologies and optics (gas lasers, solid state lasers or laser diodes)
  • Experience in the use of optical simulation software (preferably Ansys Zemax OpticStudio)
  • First professional experience in an industrial company or research institute of a University
  • Patience and fun to work on complex scientific questions and finding the solution
  • Team player and hands-on mentality
  • Good language skills in German (C1) and English (B2)

Responsibilities:

  • Starting the day with alignment and brainstorming for the current new product development project with the cross-functional engineering team
  • Desk planning work: Plan the next experiment or measurement of optical parameter for the next new product.
  • Lab work: Run the experiment together with experienced lab technicians and fine tune the setup.
  • Collaborate closely with other functions in the research and development department and share your results with the cross-functional project team (product management, service and production).
  • Collaborate with third parties in open innovation (up to 3 weeks travel required per year)
