Laundry Assistant

To provide the highest possible standards of laundry, washing and ironing of patient clothing.
To observe current Health & Safety Regulations, and strictly adhere to the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Policy and Waste Disposal Policy
§ Collect patient laundry, noting owner’s room and name
§ Process laundry (washing/drying/ironing as required) including soiled laundry for patients who are incontinent
§ Return clean clothing to appropriate patient room
§ Inform the Ward Admin of any maintenance work required or any defects to equipment
§ Ensure that stock levels are maintained at all times
Undertake any other duties as may be required by line management internal job rotation and absence cover.
