Due to the exciting expansion of our firm, we are looking for an experienced law clerk to join our General Insurance practice in Brisbane.
The successful candidates will work closely with our partners, lawyers and clients, where they will have hands on experience in General Insurance, with a focus on motor vehicle property damage matters.
We will consider both full time and part time capacity, with part time candidates working between 4-5 days per week.

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • currently completing a Bachelor of Laws or equivalent;
  • experience working with motor vehicle property claims desired;
  • have an outstanding level of attention to detail;
  • demonstrate your reliable and responsible nature;
  • have superior time management and organisational skills;
  • be an approachable and responsive team member; and
  • demonstrate ability to work in a professional services firm conducting work of a legal nature, however is not essential

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to a Partner, you will take responsibility and ownership over a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • preparation and drafting of correspondence, including court documents, letters and other word processing;
  • opening/closing files;
  • downloading and collating documents;
  • diary management, including diarising hearing dates and processing of documentation for court actions;
  • compiling and sending reports to clients;
  • brief preparation;
  • monthly billing;
  • assisting lawyers as necessary; and
  • other secretarial and administrative tasks as required by the Group.
