Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will work closely with Myles O’Brien , Special Counsel, on a range of work across corporate transactional banking and property finance, restructuring advice, advising financiers and insolvency practitioners on distressed debt solutions, and workouts and enforcement of security and formal insolvencies. This is a role that will continually expand and grow, and you will get to liaise with clients from day one. Some of the work you will be involved in includes:
- Drafting demands and Property Law Act notices
- Undertaking security reviews and analysing security positions
- Assisting with appointments of insolvency practitioners
- Facilitating mortgagee sales of land and secured property
- Assisting financiers with restructurings, workouts and customer relationship management
- Assisting with farm debt mediation and drafting mediation agreements
- Acting for insolvency practitioners on insolvency engagements
- Acting for financiers in relation to deeds of compromise and settlement agreements
- Undertaking LINZ, Companies Office and PPSR searches
- Assisting with property finance transactions including E-dealing
- Assisting with corporate financing transactions
- Attending to settlements and refinancing instructions
Assisting Body Corporates establishing funding for defective building remediation projectsCapturing billing and preparing reports
