Description:
Responsibilities:
- Drafting letters of demand, court documents and settlement deeds
- Liaising with witnesses and preparing statements
- Researching and providing legal analysis
- Preparing and reviewing discovered documents and evidence
- Engaging and liaising with independent experts, counsel, opposing lawyers and mediators
- Preparing advices including on liability, prospects, quantum, costs and strategy
- Preparing advice on indemnity, liability, reserves and strategy (optional for commercial property matters - subject to PAE)
- Appearing at court, conferences and mediations and negotiating settlements
- Preparing briefs and instructing counsel during court hearings, mediations and conferences
- Collaborating with senior practitioners and other team members
- Supporting graduates and seasonal clerks throughout their rotations
- Retaining and building business
