Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality advice to the Westpac Group that is accurate, timely, cost effective and commercial.
- Ensure appropriate transaction governance is in place and maintained;
- Demonstrate excellent time and matter management.
- Support the Westpac Group’s risk strategy by influencing, negotiating and consulting with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Instruct and manage the delivery of any required external legal and other advice in a cost effective and efficient manner.
- Keep up to date with legislation, risk management frameworks and procedures in order to provide quality advice to internal stakeholders.
- Active engagement with other members of the Group Legal team and with the wider legal function to deliver high-quality outcomes
