Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality advice to the Westpac Group that is accurate, timely, cost effective and commercial.
  • Ensure appropriate transaction governance is in place and maintained;
  • Demonstrate excellent time and matter management.
  • Support the Westpac Group’s risk strategy by influencing, negotiating and consulting with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Instruct and manage the delivery of any required external legal and other advice in a cost effective and efficient manner.
  • Keep up to date with legislation, risk management frameworks and procedures in order to provide quality advice to internal stakeholders.
  • Active engagement with other members of the Group Legal team and with the wider legal function to deliver high-quality outcomes
