PROGRAM SUMMARY
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.
JOB SUMMARY
As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will take a lead role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems for our clients. Your expertise in the field and your certification will play a crucial part in safeguarding lives and properties by ensuring fire alarm systems are functioning optimally.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder who has lived within the United States for at least the last 3 years.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of directly related experience.
- Must have a NICET II or above in Fire Alarm Systems.
- Requires strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and carry equipment, climb ladders, bend, reach, crawl and work in confined spaces.

- Journeyman or Master Electrician’s License
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals to provide exceptional service and maintain our reputation as a reliable fire protection company.
- Lead and perform the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in accordance with relevant local regulations and codes.
- Utilize your in-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems and components to troubleshoot and diagnose issues effectively.
- Coordinate and execute repairs or replacements of faulty equipment to ensure the proper functioning of fire alarm systems.
- Conduct regular system inspections and implement preventative maintenance measures to identify and resolve potential problems proactively.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers, addressing any inquiries or concerns related to fire alarm systems.
- Complete detailed service reports and documentation for each service visit, maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members on larger installations and system upgrades.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and attend training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
- Travel to various LOGCAP EUCOM sites to perform these actions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
