about this team
The Distribution Planning team is responsible for leading and driving the Global Distribution strategy, operational planning, performance management, optimization initiatives, technical training and functional implementation, health & safety programs, 3PL management, and real estate planning. The scope covers both owned and operated facilities as well as 3PL partners across multiple international markets. This function is highly collaborative and will partner closely with Global Fulfillment, Product, Channel, People, and Technology teams that support Global Distribution capabilities today, and collectively orchestrate a paralleled push to achieving our strategic and operational goals.

a day in the life

  • Partner with the Global Distribution and key business partners (Engineering, Analytics, Planning, Technology, etc.) on developing and delivering cohesive and integrated functional strategies, operational plans, and they key initiatives required to deliver against operational and strategic objectives.
  • Lead specific functional research, modeling, and analyses in partnership with Global Distribution teams as part of strategic discovery and operating plan formulation/evolution.
  • Support the development of presentation content and deliverables to support senior executive updates and business reviews.
  • Build business cases, including cost/benefit analysis, for strategic initiatives and special projects as part of the investment roadmap.
  • Lead and deliver specific projects and initiatives as part of the Global Distribution roadmap
  • Support the implementation and dissemination of effective functional planning practices across Global Distribution teams, including frameworks, processes, and tools.
  • Continually assess and refine performance management capabilities based on evolving operating models, processes, and business priorities
  • Partner in the creation of tools, analytics and reports that provide visibility to data and information to drive operational decision making.
  • Collaborate with and oversee 3rd party partners/consultants based on specific scope of service requirements.
  • Work closely with peers across Global Fulfillment and key partners, ensuring alignment and comprehensiveness in planning, management, and execution.
  • Provide input to the broader Supply Chain strategic planning and road mapping process.

qualifications

  • B.A./B.S. in Business, Engineering, or related discipline
  • MBA or other Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7+ years’ experience in consulting, operations, engineering, or a similar field
  • Experience in operations management, program management and Consumer Supply Chain Distribution Operations preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Strong critical thinking, logical structuring, attention to detail, and excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Strong business, planning and organizing skills; including the ability to provide innovative, strategic ideas to management, communicate value, gain approval, and implement effectively.
  • Excellent facilitation and issue resolution skills; ability to drive consensus.
  • Ability to work and deliver in changing environments, under limited guidance while adhering to specified deadlines and budgets.
  • Ability to interpret and adjust to situations that involve conflicting goals.
  • Ability to operate effectively as part of a dispersed team and prioritize work.

Compensation and Benefits Package
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $103,500-135,900 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
