We’re seeking a Lead Automation Engineer to join our Automation and Electrical Engineering team in Espoo, Finland. In this role, you’ll take the helm of automation engineering, driving software programming for our projects and products. Reporting to the Automation and Electrical Engineering Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing Evac’s business and crafting innovative solutions for the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of PLC programming for assigned delivery projects.
  • Deliver top-notch PLC programming for product development.
  • Shape Evac’s automation design standards, guidelines, and processes.
  • Contribute to defining Evac’s automation key solutions, networks, and components.
  • Provide remote support for on-site commissioning and fault tracing.

Keys to Success:

  • Hold a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science.
  • Bring experience in commissioning or engineering as an Automation Engineer, specializing in software programming for process systems.
  • Proficiency in various PLC software program languages (ST, FBD, LD). Knowledge of additional languages such as C, C++, Java, Python is advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of PDM systems.
  • Expertise in PLC hardware components (e.g., Siemens S7-1500, S7-1200, S7-300, LOGO!, Omron), automation system networks, and communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with HMI engineering (Siemens, Intouch, Omron).
  • Knowledge of process automation, equipment, and components within the marine industry.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English.
