Description:

Lead Business Development Manager (Financial Institutions) – Sydney or Melbourne

The Lead Business Development Manager will have end-to-end responsibility for the development and strategic growth of the ANZ Financial Institution client portfolio and will be expected to consistently achieve pipeline and revenue targets, securing new banking, fintech and payments (FI) clients. As an extension we are also seeking candidates with experience in providing payment and FX risk management solutions in the Funds Management and Private Equity sector.

In your role as Lead Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Focus on sales origination, revenue realization and retention to achieve respective revenue goals in collaboration with key (product) partners.
  • Mapping the ANZ market, leveraging data, building a strategy for continuous pipeline building for various client types to ensure a diverse and ever delivering pipeline.
  • Achieving revenue and customer targets by establishing solid partnerships with Financial Institutions (FIs).
  • Maintaining and accurate business forecast and a granular understanding of our customer’s requirements, trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Follow strong sales management processes through metrics, leveraging sales tools such as Salesforce
  • Work with Global Segment leads and regional product partners to ensure product offering is competitive in service, function & price.
  • There may also be an opportunity for further expansion of remit into other APAC markets.
  • Hybrid role. Can be based in Convera’s Sydney of Melbourne office, with work from home also available 2-3 days per week.

You will ideally have:

  • Must hold a broad network of senior contacts in top tier FI firms.
  • Extensive experience of progressive Sales within a global organization.
  • Proven ability to navigate gate keepers to reach and influence C-Suite level relationships
  • Experience working in financial institutions and/or management consulting services would be a plus.
  • Excellent sales management and strategic account management skills.
