THE POSITION:

Are you an accomplished professional with a strong experience in Procurement? We are actively seeking highly qualified individuals to take on the pivotal role of Lead Buyer (m/f/x) Direct Material in our dynamic Pfaffenhofen site. As a Lead Buyer (m/f/x), you will play a crucial role in shaping category strategies and leading sourcing activities to secure the best value for our company. PROFESSIONAL EXPIERENCE & EDUCATION:

  • University degree in Procurement or related field/ Business Administration
  • Minimum of 7 years working experience in Procurement
  • Strong negotiation skills combined with contractual/ legal knowledge
  • Willing to enhance current knowledge through additional Procurement training/ qualification; certification is a plus
  • Strong execution, reliability, and ability to thrive under pressure
  • Proactive with a keen attention to detail as well as an accurate way of working
  • Flexible to take on ad-hoc tasks in response to changing priorities
  • Thorough understanding of MS Office, SAP MM, eSourcing and Procurement Suites
  • Strategic mindset, excellent communication skills and a positive outlook
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and strong mindset to partner with the business
  • Fluent in English, another European language is a plus
  • Uphold high standards of integrity and intercultural competence

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Impact: Develop and execute category strategies in alignment with key stakeholders. Establish measures and controls to track successful implementation. Drive sustainable improvements
  • Category Management: Responsible for overall category management, including supplier relationship management, performance monitoring, set up of preferred and strategic suppliers, Third Party Due Diligence and risk mitigation
  • Sourcing expertise: Lead and execute end-to-end sourcing processes from specifications definition to contract finalization
  • Negotiation lead: Active negotiation skills to secure optimal commercial and contractual conditions, ensuring best value for money is achieved
  • Procurement excellence: Monitor and manage relationships with vendors to ensure contracts are negotiated, established, and executed as per agreement. Resolve performance gaps identified. Contribute to Procurement’s success with regards to savings, customer satisfaction, fulfilment of defined KPI´s, risk mitigation and achievement of departmental goals
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with all departments across production sites to fulfill business requirements, driving maximum value for services sourced
  • Procurement ambassador: Promote overall procurement achievements through the organization. Contributing to creating a positive environment within the team
  • Compliance Champion: Conduct all activities in accordance with DSE policies and procedures as well as all relevant external regulations. (e.g. GxP/ SOX/ Data Protection/ HCP Compliance/ ToV). Minimize use of exceptions
  • Innovation Advocate: Contribute to projects to standardize and harmonize Procurement operations
