About the role
With the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365, DFDS is embarking on a digital transformation across Finance and Procurement. Replacing the current ERP solution with D365F&O across more than 20 markets and 60 entities is a paramount aspect of our ambition towards becoming a greener and more digitized operator. To achieve our goal, we need the expertise of a Cloud Engineer to lead across the team in technical aspects to provide feature amendments for our ERP solution.

Responsibilities:
WHAT KIND OF EXCITING CHALLENGES CAN YOU EXPECT TO MEET IN THIS ROLE?
As our new Lead Cloud Engineer, you will have a high impact on designing our inner architecture and play an important role in collaborating across DFDS and with Architects, who define the outer architecture (cross systems). In general, you will have a broad stakeholder group across all levels, from business to technology owners on a large enterprise scale as well as external partners.
The team focuses on utilizing low code components to be able to react fast to demands on our ERP system which we both develop and run. We are a diverse team working out of different geographical locations. Further, we collaborate with the use of agile practices and tightly in cadence with our Azure DevOps for handling our backlog.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE TO:
- Provide technical leadership on development flow and set quality criteria.
- Provide guidance and mentoring across the team to improve knowledge base and lead best practice methods.
- Leverage cloud services and be the subject matter expert in driving innovation in our team.
- Drive, clarify, and challenge requirements with our stakeholders.
- Coordinate and participate in discussions and reviews to find the best sustainable solutions.
- Design solutions based on technical and business requirements and visualize concepts in architecture diagrams.
- Review designs and team deliverables to adhere to our system architecture.
- Optimize solutions through redesign and refactoring with a focus on market best practices, cost efficiency, and scalability.
- Keep relevant with market best practices and implement applicable procedures and solutions to our setup.
- Outline processes and governance models for efficient collaboration.
- Analyze and plan implementation of a scalable setup and fluid setup for our platform.
- Develop solutions together with the team to better enable ERP roll-out.
