Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a master’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience in a related position.
  • At least (2) years of experience with or knowledge of:
  • Testing lithium-ion batteries under various safety standards.
  • Battery chemistry and characteristics of different capacity cells.
  • Schematic analysis and circuit evaluation.
  • Using Python to write test automation scripts and data analysis.
  • Working with third party test houses to test product in cost-effective and well executed manner.
  • Report writing, analysis and compliance test procedures for internal and external tests.
  • Regulatory frameworks like UL, UN, IEC, and IEE.
  • AutoCAD, Creo or similar mechanical design tools to design test equipment and product analysis.
  • Altium, Fusion 360 or similar electrical design tools to design prototypes and test circuits.
    Must be able and willing to travel domestically/internationally to various unanticipated employer and client locations to provide technical support up to 30%.
    Experience can be concurrent.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

EnerSys Delaware Inc.’s Reading, PA, office seeks a Lead Compliance Engineer 1 to work within the product verification and validation team to ensure products have been fully tested prior to launch into the market

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • .Working with test houses from quoting through execution of tests including providing technical support.
  • Performing testing for the development process from subcomponent all the way up to full system testing.
  • Supporting efforts for assigned lithium products for testing – creating test plans and detailed test procedures that link tests back to the requirements provided from various engineering departments.
  • Performing testing (call level testing, battery subassembly and full battery assembly testing, and subcomponent testing.
  • Reviewing and providing test reports on completion of testing to show those results and verification matrix to states requirements, which includes data analysis of raw data and generating written and graphical representation of the results.
  • Interfacing with test houses – quoting packages for testing, timing coordination and technical support for third party testing.
