About The Role:
Reporting to the Manager, Industrial Controls, the Lead Controls Engineer/Technologist will be responsible for providing team support and technical expertise in the design, programming, and commissioning of Industrial Control Systems.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Delegate day-to-day tasks to individual team members for assigned projects;
- Conduct technical reviews to ensure the accuracy of team members’ work;
- Provide coordination and technical leadership to the team regarding assigned projects;
- Support the Manager, Industrial Controls with ongoing process development, improvement initiatives, and fostering continuous growth within the department;
- Produce electrical and control system design drawings and other documentation including single line diagrams, electrical schematics, panel layouts, load calculations, BOMs, and other related documents;
- Specify and select electrical components for use in electrical design;
- Oversee and support control panel builds and FAT testing;
- Support on-site team with system testing and commissioning.
