JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
We are looking for Cyber security & SCADA Systems Engineer to join our dynamic and skilled team, based in Tampere, Finland. Systems designed by GE Grid Solutions are utilized at electrical substations globally. We offer possibility to work in GE Centre of Excellence, in a cross-cultural and multifunctional environment, striving to build green technology by maximizing the efficiency of connecting renewable energy to transmission grids.
In this position, you will be reporting to Engineering Manager and indirectly to Project Managers. As a cyber security focused project engineer, you take an active role in the creation and maintenance of cyber security processes that comply cyber security requirements of customers from different regions. In addition, you will be responsible for designing SCADA systems, preparing specifications and configurations for our products and solutions and integrating communicating systems to our products.

In this position, you will be reporting to Engineering Manager and indirectly to Project Managers. Key Individual Accountabilities:
- Develop and establish cyber security processes
- Participate in technical negotiations with end customers and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with other cyber security specialists in GE units around the world
- Produce high quality documents and specifications
- Support equipment sourcing (technical inputs, equipment evaluation)
- Contribute sales and R&D activities
- Design, configure and develop HMI & SCADA applications
- Perform Cyber Security & SCADA system validation and factory acceptance test (FAT).
- Support SCADA system engineering tasks including but not limited to SCADA systems database configurations, upgrades / modifications, communication network configurations, firewall & cyber security configurations and testing the control system configuration on mirror platforms
- Plan, Specify, Organize and participate testing in laboratory and at site
- Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology/ Electrical Engineering
- Knowledge in cyber security and related standards (eg. IEC 62443, NERC CIP, IEC 62351, IEEE PES Substation C10 /PSRC H13, IEEE 1686, NIST Smart Grid)
- Knowledge in substation communication protocols (eg. IEC61850, DNP3, IEC60870-5-104)
- Knowledge in Central authentication protocols like LDAP/RADIUS
- Knowledge of Network Security / Hardening, Whitelisting and Cybersecurity best practices.
- Knowledge in Central logging protocol like syslog .
- Fluent written and oral skills in English; Finnish and other languages are benefit
- Ability to travel
