Description:
We are currently looking for a a skilled Lead Design Engineer with a strong knowledge and working experience with most common heat exchanger types (Shell and tube heat exchanger, Air cooled heat exchanger, Plate heat exchanger) and have experience of basic furnace and thermal oxidizer designing to carry out mechanical engineering tasks.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Execute the design work in accordance with project objectives and the design procedures
- Ensure the quality of own work and development of design skills
- Manage the issue of input data to other engineering disciplines in accordance with the Engineering work process requirements and Project’s schedule
- Prepare technical part in the purchasing documentation
- Serve as a single point of contact towards vendors for the assigned scope of equipment.
- Responsible for vendor documentation commenting and coordinating vendor documentation commenting with other disciplines
- Ensure that the initial data from other engineering disciplines related to their own scope of work is collected and communicated timely.
- Report all changes to the project’s responsible person and project manager and following the project’s change practices. Design-related changes are presented to all
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Mechanical Engineering
- Previous relevant experience and in depth knowledge of Thermal Engineering
- Previous experience in softwares: 2D CAD tool for drawings and SAP
- Good management and coordination skills and ability prioritize
- Good understanding of engineering processes and disciplines
- Good technical problem solving skills
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English
- Experience of common heat exchanger types, furnace projects and experience or understanding within plant maintenance, factory acceptance test, expediting and commissioning is considered an advantage.
