Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Lead DevSecOps Engineer reports to the Shared Dev Manager in a solid line.
DevOps is an organizational and cultural movement that aims to increase software delivery velocity, improve service reliability, and build shared ownership among software stakeholders.
DevSecOps is about introducing security earlier in the life cycle of application development, thus minimizing vulnerabilities and bringing security closer to IT and business objectives.
The Lead DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for deploying, automating, maintaining, troubleshooting and improving the systems used to implement DevSecOps methodology that keep the backend infrastructure running smoothly, as well as supervising 2 DevSecOps engineers. The role requires having hands-on technical experience and a can-do approach towards environment automation / management and continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Automate provisioning of infrastructure by implementing IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Enforce Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery to increase code quality and reduce TTM (Time To Market).
  • Build and maintain highly effective release management system and reduce the time it takes to build, deploy, and configure software to all environments.
  • Implement security checks at the beginning of the application development lifecycle, like SAST, DAST and container scanning.
  • Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements.
  • Works with developers and the IT staff to oversee the code releases.
  • Employ troubleshooting skills to improve the availability, performance, and security
  • Demonstrate empathy, integrity and resiliency to work with a team-first mindset

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE

  • English is mandatory. Any other EU language and Japanese is an advantage.
  • Master degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Passion and motivation to learn new technologies and watch for last trends
  • Technical skills with IaC (Infrastructure as Code), like Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform
  • Experience with hyper-converged and virtualized infrastructure. Nutanix expertise is an advantage.
  • Networking experience and knowledge is an advantage (routing protocols, load balancing, firewall, WAF)
  • Enjoy automation and scripting, like Bash, Python, Golang or PowerShell
  • Experience with CI/CD processes, preferably Gitlab CI or Jenkins CI
  • Understanding of public / private / hybrid cloud services and related architecture
  • Technical troubleshooting and debugging capabilities
  • Team Player, drive action to completion, excellent communication & interpersonal skills
