We, at Johnson Electric, work with the largest and greatest car manufacturers worldwide. For the development of the new generation of actuators, the dynamic Software Team of Johnson Electric in Murten (Switzerland) is looking for a Lead Embedded Software Engineer, bringing the needed technical expertise to the engineering team to develop best in class products to serve the automotive industry.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead the development of valve software; coordinate the work of software engineers assigned to valve projects.
  • Development of software for actuators referred to contract documents from initial concept to final production together with external and internal customers and suppliers
  • Technical lead of internal and customer projects
  • Work according to the development process based on automotive standards and ASPICE process
  • Turn research ideas into technical plans using architecture, Helix and coding software
  • Collect and analyze data from tests on prototypes
  • Write and present regular progress reports for project managers and clients
  • Collaborate with the global engineering team on components, fixture designs and change management related topics
  • Technical documentation, project document and preparation of project reviews

Our requirements:

  • Engineering degree in electronics, mechatronics, or software engineering
  • 6-8 years of experience in developing embedded systems / software
  • Experience in project leading and developing high volume series in the automotive field
  • Experience in applying latest engineering tools
  • High level of English and German
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player and facilitator spirit with conscientiousness and reliability
