Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Lead Engineer - Dimensional Quality in the Quality Department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.

SUMMARY:

Our aspiration is to develop class leading dimensional quality in our products and processes, applying the latest technologies and approaches. This role is specifically to lead and develop the DQ team and activities during project delivery and beyond, ensuring continuous improvement of our products in production.

• Define Lotus’ Dimensional Quality (DQ) strategy to ensure ‘best in class’ dimensional accuracy and capability, collaborating closely with all areas of the business to ensure a cohesive, documented strategy & process.
• Research, propose and implement appropriate technological measurement techniques to provide quality data from both in process and off-line measurement.
• Ensuring clear and accurate monitoring & reporting of vehicle dimensional accuracy to the business.
• Lead continuous improvement (CI) activities using Lean Six Sigma Methodology to identify areas for improvement and deliver business objectives
• Refine and own Lotus’ Measurement Strategy to improve capabilities, equipment and services.
• Work with Lotus Engineering to identify opportunities for external revenue streams utilising the DQ team’s capabilities.
• Development measurement point and cut-plane strategies to enable robust analysis and control of Lotus product quality.
  Support current production leading cross-functional problem solving teams using your team dimensional skillset.
