BA Wind is responsible for the development, construction and operation of wind power onshore and offshore as well as other non-hydro renewable activities like solar and batteries. We manage the maintenance, operation and continuous improvement of wind generation assets, safely and with the highest levels of availability and profitability. We also perform the structuring and execution of project partnerships in accordance with our overall wind strategy.
Business Unit Offshore is responsible to manage and operate all Offshore wind parks as well as Offshore wind projects with regards to development, construction and execution within the Region Continental/UK.

DO YOU WANT TO SHAPE THE FUTURE?

We are looking for a Lead Engineer, for Transport and Installation (T&I) of Offshore Foundation to work within our Business Area Wind, Offshore Wind.
You will be part of the T&I Development and Engineering team within Construction & Logistic, working closely together with the T&I Project Portfolio Director, T&I Engineers, interfacing with Vattenfall’s Project Teams and first class Installation Contractors.
The Construction & Logistics Department is responsible for the development of transport and installation concepts of our future windfarms as well as providing the technical know-how with regards to T&I on all our offshore projects in execution.
Hence, we are setting the standards and guidelines as well as being embedded within our projects, from the development and offshore construction phase to the offshore decommissioning stage

Your main tasks and responsibilities as Lead Engineer, T&I foundation:

• Support the development of new installation methodologies as a technical authoriy
• Being responsible to maintain our Standard Employers Reqiurement (ER), herunder
• Take part of preparing the Invitation to Tenders (ITT) in the early project phases and participate in the negotations of the installation contracts.
• Coach our T&I Engineers and Installation Managers, in the understanding of the requirments, when needed
• Ensure Lesson Learned is assessed and implemented in the ER where necersary.
• Be prepared to support the projects doing construction or decommisioning, and onsite if needed.

Kvalifikationer

The successful candidate is likely to have :

• A graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or have equivalent professional experience . A relevant second degree qualification ,as well as professional chartership through a recognised Institution, may also be beneficial;
• 7-10 years relevant experience working Offshore Transport & Installation of Foundations including
• Knowledge about offshore installation vessels, installation tools & methodologies and relevant offshore codes and standards.
• Contractual understanding, and negotiating experience.
• Experience with marine risk management and Marine Warranty Surveying process.
• The ability to apply sound judgement to make decisions in challenging situations;
• Highly motivated and communicative person who is able to focus on both people and business;
• A good command of the English language, both spoken and written.
