The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain.
The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to develop and maintain functional and secure networks. You will mentor and lead a small team of Network engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for supporting various NETS products and services.
In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. If you’re also passionate about security and data protection, we’d like to meet you.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Computer Science or relevant technology disciplines, with at least 5 years of working experience in Network engineering role in a medium to large sized organization
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred
  • In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred
  • Strong domain knowledge in VOIP, BGP, IPSEC and EIGRP
  • Familiar with Cisco routers and switches (Nexus and Catalyst), Checkpoint, Palo Alto, McAfee and Fortinet firewalls.
  • In-depth understanding of IT Infrastructure; network & server system monitoring, change and configuration management
  • Prior experience in implementation of large scale Network solutions in the in the payments industry would be highly advantageous

Responsibilities:

  • Design, Deploy, Implement and Support Network LAN/WAN infrastructure (MPLS, ISP and ISDN)
  • Work with various stakeholders within and across the organization on analyzing the requirements for Network infrastructure, VOIP/Desktop/Video connectivity to design & create effective Network Solutions
  • Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
  • Implement configurations in accordance to the organization’s change management policies and procedures
  • Design network related proof of concepts and configuration to Application Support teams for implementation.
  • Track the refresh of End-of-Life Network related hardware/software solutions and platforms
  • Able to be on 24/7 standby roster on a rotational basis within the team to handle support issues
