Lead Front End Engineer - InsurTech

Currently working with a tech company focusing on quant risk analysis across reinsurance/insurance. They work as a seed investor/sponsor for startups. As a product of this comes the dynamic insurtech start-up, focusing on home insurance policies fueled by innovation. The role is for a Lead Front End Engineer; building the tech from the ground up and shaping the front-end team and its applications. They will be looking to pay £90 000 p.a + benefits. This role will be based in SW London and looking at mandatory 3 days per week in the office.

SKILLS :

• React, Next, Redux, GraphQL (mandatory)
• Lead Experience mandatory (build out small team)
• JavaScript ES6, HTML, CSS
• Knowledge of data visualisation libraries (Highcharts.js, D3.js)
• At least 4-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience creating web applications and leading team of developers
• Experience with UX design is ideal but not essential

• Research, conceive and develop applications to create, extend and improve insurance systems.
• Efficiently lead our frontend team as the team develops
• Build out front-end development team from scratch
• Build efficient back-end features in React
• Work closely with back-end engineers
• Participate in architecture design and code reviews
