YOUR QUALIFICATION

  • Solid understanding of, and experience with, the Angular platform, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • You have a strong understanding of modern Web Technologies
  • Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure – particularly Azure
  • Experience in C# and .NET ecosystem
  • You also have experience writing automated tests
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and responsiveness to problem-solving that prioritizes the customer experience first
  • On top of the technical skills, you bring a can-do attitude with a positive and constructive approach to managing and solving challenges
  • You have a “boy scout” mentality and will therefore always leave the code in a better shape than it was before you updated it
  • You have experience and enjoy working in an agile setup
  • You thrive in projects where the boundaries, scope, and goals are defined as we go and keep a constant eye out for new ways of working and ideas to maximize business impact
  • You have experience building Micro Frontends
  • Financial / Fintech background is a plus
  • Excellent English skills in both writing and speaking

Responsibilities:

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

We are currently scaling our operations in the Data & Post-trade Modern UI product area with multiple teams. One of these teams is looking for a Lead Full-stack Software Engineer who is passionate about building the right solutions. The ideal candidate should be able to guide the team towards the right direction and inspire them to build better frontend applications. The team will consist of members in both Europe and India, meaning that both on-site and online collaboration is key.
The product area is strategically important and aims to develop state-of-the-art frontends solutions for new business opportunities, making the team critical not only to the product area but to SimCorp as a whole.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • In collaboration with your team taking ownership of the design, development, maintenance, testing strategy, and operations of the frontend solutions (hosted in the cloud)
  • Building solid frontend components based on modern software patterns - both as individual contributor and in pairs or subgroups within the team
  • Be curious and stay up to date with latest development trends
  • Suggest and implement best-of-breed engineering practices in the team
  • Engage actively in design sessions to ensure your team delivers high-quality work
  • Contribute to designing, implementing, and maintaining a healthy build pipeline
  • Tightly collaborating with Frontend developers, System Architects, and UX designers
  • Ideally participate in (or take initiative to create) a frontend guild
