Dragonfly is hiring an Operations Leading Hand / Yard Hand for our delivery hub at the Sunshine Coast. This is a Permanent Part-time opportunity with 4 -hour shifts (2:30 PM – 6:30 PM) on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. With an additional AM shift (6:30 AM - 10:30 AM) on Tuesday.

What does it take to be successful?

• Experience in a leading hand position, working in a fast-paced environment (preferred but not required)
• Experience in the transportation and freight industry will be highly regarded
• Adaptable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
• Tech savvy and willing to learn new and evolving systems
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
• Sound communication, both written and verbal

Now, you’re probably asking yourself, what will I be doing in this position?

• Provide manifests to drivers daily
• Manage the loadout process for drivers
• Ensure drivers are loading vans in line with procedure
• Provide support and advice to drivers as it relates to their routes
• Maintain safety & security of both the premises & people;
• Ensure safe working methods at all times;
• Develop and maintain solid working relationships with Delivery Contractors and drivers;
• Respond to urgent matters as required;
• Maintain a professional & high-quality service-oriented environment at all times.
