  • You are an experienced developer (3+ years), preferably using the MERN stack.
  • You have very good knowledge of HTML, CSS3, JavaScript (React.js, Node.js, Express.js), databases (SQL/NoSQL) & APIs (REST, GraphQL).
  • You have experience using agile methodology (SCRUM or equivalent).
  • You are familiar with DevOps tools (e.g. Docker, Unit Testing …).
  • You love sharing your knowledge and have experience teaching in groups, preferably in a bootcamp setting.
  • You have very good communication and people skills and are empathetic in responding to your students’ needs.
  • You have an excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • You have an independent, structured way of working with a high degree of self-responsibility as well as intercultural competence.
  • Your are available during the whole 26 weeks period between August 12, 2024 and February 22, 2025.
  • You can work as a freelancer for our Berlin-based company.

Responsibilities:

YOUR TASKS.

As Lead Instructor Web & App Development at WBS CODING SCHOOL, you are fundamentally responsible for the learning success of our international students. In our part-time Web & App Development program, you will teach online for 26 weeks (including two one-week breaks). Our next batch of coding talents is starting on August 12, 2024, apply now and join our amazing team!

  • Classes in the part-time program take place Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 18:30 to 21:30 (CET) as well as Saturdays 9:00 to 17:30 (CET).
  • You are responsible for delivering workshops, live coding sessions, and other learning events using our carefully developed materials.
  • You ensure that our curriculum is delivered in the best possible way and make it easy for your students to follow along.
  • You coach our participants in the event of challenges.
  • Together with our Program Lead and our instructor team, you will continue to develop our curriculum to ensure the continuous improvement of our program.
