Description:

Wood is recruiting for a Lead Instrument & Controls Engineer to join our team in Perth, Western Australia as part of its Operations APAC West business. This is an initial 12 month opportunity which is expected to be an ongoing requirement for a key energy client.
Wood delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the oil and gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region’s most prominent producers, actively supporting operations in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and South East Asia.
You will be reporting directly to the Instrument & Controls Discipline Lead and working across FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery, across some of world’s most technically challenging brownfields Oil & Gas projects for Wood’s Engineering group.

  • Acting as focal point for Instrument & Controls Engineering activities across the project life cycle (Concept, FEED, detailed design) to produce fit for purpose solutions.
  • Producing cost effective Instrument & Controls Engineering reports, documents and deliverables
  • Supporting and mentoring Instrument & Controls Engineers and Designers and provide technical assistance as required
  • Providing technical input to business development, early customer engagement, tenders and studies
  • Acting as a Technical Authority, ensuring technical integrity of all work performed on projects.
  • Ensuring all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
