The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Internal Audit, the Lead Internal Auditor will play a key role in executing the annual internal audit plan for Qurate Retail Group’s (QRG) domestic and international operations.
Who We Are
Internal Audit has risk management responsibilities across all of the QRG retail brands, including QVC US, QVC International, HSN, and Cornerstone Brands (Ballard Designs, Frontgate, Grandin Road and Garnet Hill). The team provides management and the company’s board of directors independent assurance that the company is effectively managing its risks, including Financial Risks, Operational Risks, Technology Risks, and Compliance Risks. This is achieved through an annual risk assessment process culminating in the annual audit plan for selected audits to be performed throughout the year.
Your Impact

Audit Advisory & Assurance

  • Perform risk assessments to identify relevant risks and develop comprehensive audit programs outlining testing procedures.
  • Lead and execute audit testing, with support from Senior Auditor(s).
  • Review the work performed by the Senior Auditor(s).
  • Draft observations and prepare detailed audit reports.
  • Monitor and track the completion of management action plans.

SOX Compliance Strategy and Execution

  • Partner with QRG Internal Controls team to provide guidance to QRG management on the development of controls and procedures to meet internal control requirements.

Development

  • Maintain a strong business acumen and drive continuous improvement by building and maintaining positive relationships with leaders throughout the organization.
  • Assess the adequacy, efficiency, and compliance with operating policies and procedures , as well as company and regulatory policies.
  • Manage concurrent audits, ensuring deadlines are met by monitoring progress and managing resources effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to Senior Auditor(s).

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • 3+ years’ experience of proven leadership, managing a staff member and reporting to executive management.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) certifications, CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), and/or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) are highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of professional audit standards and Sarbanes Oxley Section 404.
  • Proficiency in using audit management software and data analytics tools to enhance audit effectiveness.
  • Experience testing IT general controls a plus
