Description:
WORK EXPERIENCE:

- Knowledge of major ERP (enterprise resource planning) software applications such as SAP, Oracle, or PeopleSoft.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) - Data Management Association (DAMA) International
Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE:
The Master Data Management Lead is accountable for data management, data quality especially the Master Data (Product, Customer, and Supplier), and continuous improvement. The lead is responsible for enterprise-wide efforts to align to the data management standards and policy, including the identification of master data elements, establishing, and maintaining the enterprise business glossary, and data issue management.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as an IT data management liaison to the business functions and other boundary systems.
- Manage the enablement and integration of MDM Solutions provided by suppliers.
- Provide data management capabilities such as meta data/data model management, data quality/cleansing activities, data retention activities, data integration, and enforcing data security.
- Consolidate or redesign existing data standards where necessary to support stronger centralization.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise.
- Drive the design, development and delivery of a technical roadmap that support the advancement of Veritiv’s master data and enterprise data strategy.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Work as a liaison between Veritiv business units and IT; bridging business requirements and technical solutions needed to meet those requirements
- Collaborate closely with Veritiv leaders to define priorities, document technical requirements, and evaluate solutions
- Analyze, document, and communicate system integration questions and system design decisions
- Translate business objectives into technical requirements to facilitate system deliverables
- Create various scope options dependent on priorities and cost/benefit expectations
- Document current and future state business processes through process mapping
- Perform walk-throughs of prototypes to gain approval for final solutions
- Participate in the definition of acceptance criteria and release change management
- Build and carry out test cases and scenarios
- Work with remote stakeholders and team members from various parts of the business
- Maintain project information and provide accurate project status updates to stakeholders
- Manage relationships and deliverables from third party system integrators
- Perform as a leader who demonstrates the ability to serve as a strong team member with solid communication skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth environment.
- Experience with B2B Pricing Systems like Zilliant, PriceFx, Vendavo, PROS, or other
- Experience with CPQ Systems, Rebate Systems, or Deal Desk applications
- Experience with Salesforce CRM
