Responsibilities:

The Lead Linux Systems Administrator is responsible for providing a secure, end-to-end storage solution, whether hosted onsite or in the cloud. They will take a technical lead for maintaining, establishing, and troubleshooting server issues. The post holder will also manage the monitoring, testing and resolution of server-related queries to ensure a stable and secure infrastructure service to the University. They will play a critical role in providing support for all onsite, hosted Linux operating systems, as well as any environments that might be hosted in the cloud (e.g. Azure, AWS, etc.). The Lead Linux Systems Administrator will be expected to maintain a deep understanding of hardware and software technology and their application within the University’s business environment, including data centre establishment.
