Our fast-growing company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Eastleigh. As a leading mechanical design engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and design of groundbreaking products within our organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Leading a team of mechanical design engineers in conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative solutions for our products.
• Utilizing your expertise in mechanical engineering to guide and provide technical direction to the team throughout the design process.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and product management to ensure successful execution of projects.
• Conducting thorough research and analysis to identify areas for improvement and innovation within our product suite.
• Creating detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation to facilitate the manufacturing process.
• Performing calculations, simulations, and testing to validate design performance and reliability.
• Mentoring and coaching junior members of the team to foster their professional growth and development.
• Staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance our product offerings.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong technical background in Mechanical Engineering combined with a proven track record of leading successful engineering projects. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as you will be collaborating with various stakeholders to bring innovative ideas to life.
