Description:

Wood in Staines are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer for an innovative Energy Security/Alternative Energy project.

  • Planning and scheduling of discipline activities and deliverables, including man-hour estimating when required.
  • Managing discipline work to the required schedule and man-hour allocation, including requesting personnel as identified by the plan and day to day supervision of Mechanical discipline personnel on the project
  • Providing advice on the selection of Mechanical equipment
  • Specification of Mechanical equipment, by preparing Technical Specifications and Mechanical Data Sheets
  • Engagement with, and evaluation of specialist equipment suppliers, including preparation of requisitions and technical evaluation reports
  • Managing the integration of mechanical equipment into overall facility design by liaising between equipment suppliers and other Wood specialist engineers
  • Providing specialist input to design reviews, risk assessments and constructability reviews
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree (Chartered Engineer preferred)
  • Experience as Lead Mechanical Engineer on onshore and offshore projects
  • Experience in working with Mechanical equipment on onshore and offshore projects,
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
