ABOUT THE ROLE

We seek a superstar Lead Mobile Engineer [based in Berlin or /and remotely], who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality SDKs to provide user experience and app performance analytics. You will also lead a team of senior engineers, mentor them, and ensure best practices are followed. You will collaborate with product managers, customer success managers, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet user needs and business goals.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Being UXCam’s next superstar Lead Mobile Engineer, your main missions include but aren’t limited to the following:

• Implement best practices for code quality, testing and performance optimization
• Build and coach a strong team of Mobile developers
• Develop the mobile engineering strategy, and do constant research to make sure we are aware of the latest trends in mobile Development (iOS / Android / Cross platform)
• Take full responsibility for the architecture, implementation, and constant testing of our mobile SDKs, focus on usability, stability, security and compliance
• Collaborate with cross functional teams such as architecture, backend integration, visual design, UX teams, QA,
• Partner with the stakeholders and end users to translate ideas, high level specifications into new or enhanced mobile application solutions
• Manage the expectations and needs of all the stakeholders of the Mobile team (Customer Success / Product / Engineering / Sales) and develop processes of prioritisation while ensuring a strong inter-team communication
• Provide feedback and suggestions on UXCam features and documentation
• Share best practices and insights on mobile user experience analytics and SDK development with UXCam
• Define project goals and scope
• Ensure code quality and standards
• Spread the mobile app knowledge across the teams
• Research and evaluate new technologies and frameworks for UXCam

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED AT THIS ROLE

• Knowledge of native Android or native iOS development
• Java and Kotlin/Objective C and Swift
• Solid principles and Clean Architecture
• Strong intuition for API Design
• Experience with SDK Development
• Familiarity with mobile app analytics and testing tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with issue resolution strategies
• Management of Sprints, issues and product backlog
• Expertise in high level system design and planning
• Experience managing a team of remote Mobile Engineers, at least 2 years
• Experience working in Agile environment
• Approach to taking ownership with a results-driven attitude
