Description:
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 8a Lead AHP/Midwife/Nurse to join the Corporate Quality Team to undertake a range of improvement work. If you are a caring, driven, passionate leader interested in improving patient and staff experience, health inequalities and healthcare regulation, please read on. This is an ideal role for an experienced Band 7 looking to build the knowledge, skills and experience for further Matron/leadership roles, or for an existing Band 8a looking to focus on Quality Improvement and Accreditation.
You will bring strong communication, problem solving and organisational skills and have a collaborative/coaching leadership style. You will be highly visible, clinically current and an accessible leader to ensure our improvement programmes and projects are delivered effectively and efficiently.
The role will include a wide range of support to programmes and projects to improve patient safety and both patient and staff experience. The job share 0.4 WTE will focus on managing Patient Group Directives and the Independent Non-Medical Prescribing capability.
There will be opportunity to build skills in communication and coaching, Quality Improvement, Medicines Management, Regulation and Accreditation and Project Management.

The post holder will be responsible for running specific projects and programmes such as:
1. Working with the Head of Quality and Deputy Director of Quality on the improvement programme for the deteriorating patient (Newborn, Maternity, Paediatrics and Adults).
2. Programmes of improvement work to include the Pathway to Excellence Programme.
3. Support CQC improvement action planning and responses.
4. Lead responsibility for Patient Group Directions (PGDs).
5. Lead responsibility for the Non-Medical Prescribing programme.
6. Other quality projects and programmes as identified through thematic reviews
