We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and innovative nurse leaders to take up the post of Lead Nurse Band 8b. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on continuous development and improvement of nursing in providing high quality care to patients.
You will be involved in leading and directing quality improvement, delivery and maintaining of high quality standards that enhance the life for our service users using trauma informed approaches. You will manage in-patient acute admissions wards and High dependent ward/our low secure services and our female services and a rehabilitation male ward

Overall Management responsibility for a set number of wards in Medium and Low secure services.
Set up clear monitoring / feedback / structure / system that enables us to both understand and challenge nursing practice across the service.
Nursing lead for Service developments in your are
Work closely with the Head of Nursing to effectively manage beds, admissions, discharges and transfer.
Nurse Management lead for Infection Control.
Work closely with Head of Nursing to effectively manage beds, admissions, discharges and transfer.
Nurse Management lead for Infection Control.
Provide advanced advice, support and expertise both within the service and to generic inpatient and locality / community teams
Coordinate Nursing assessments of patients and expertise both within the trust and outside the trust
Have management responsibility for the Forensic Specialist Outreach Workers and or the Forensic Specialist Prison In reach Worker
Play active role in setting up and developing MDT meetings that define strategy for future
Deputise for the Head of Nursing in their absence taking responsibility for the operational management of the service
To lead on the local development of policy and practice that reflect the needs of service users, implementing evidence based practice contributing further to the knowledge base by evaluation of practice
