Description:
Wood is recruiting for a Lead Offshore Structural Engineer to provide and support structural engineering activities on our offshore projects, to be based in our Staines office in Middlesex.

This position is on a contract basis and will run for a duration for 12 months
- Reports to Lead Structural Engineer
- Act as deputy lead on the engineering of a major offshore renewables project.
- Will take a lead in coordination with other project Discipline Engineers and project Management.
- Assists in liaison with Client, third parties, regulators, and vendors.
- Demonstrate a track record of project delivery to schedule – planning and progress reporting.
- Experience in supervision and checking of the work of others.
- Coordinates inputs to CAD modelling and design deliverables.
- Familiar with the principles of stiffened plate design and Eurocode 3.
- Familiarity with aspects of structural FEA modelling and code checking preferred.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in appropriate engineering subject.
Masters Degree Preferred. Chartered Engineer and member of appropriate engineering institution
