Claxton is now recruiting for a full-time, permanent Lead Offshore Supervisor based in Singapore. Reporting to the Project & Ops Manager, the Lead Offshore Supervisor will lead offshore field operations on clients’ vessels, rigs and platforms or any offshore and onshore location, while developing the competence and experience of the Claxton offshore team in the APAC region. The role is multi-facetted and includes elements of team leadership, equipment maintenance, job planning, equipment preparation, mobilisation and operation of equipment at the site, trouble-shooting, demobilisation of equipment and operational reporting to the client and Claxton Project & Ops Manager onshore.
The core operational and technical competence of the Lead Offshore Supervisor lies in surface, subsea, and downhole cutting techniques. This role entails global travel and extensive periods of offshore work worldwide.

Additionally, the Lead Offshore Supervisor is responsible for assisting with day-to-day servicing, repairs, and testing of Claxton equipment systems, as well as involvement in new build projects. Duties include planned maintenance and repairs of all company-owned equipment, such as water abrasive cutting systems, mechanical cutting equipment, pipeline coating removal tools, Hydro Hammer, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, subsea dredging equipment, and more.Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead as a member of offshore teams in delivery of Claxton projects such as Water Abrasive Cutting System, Mechanical Cutter such as Diamond Wire Cutter, Soil Plug Removal Tool, Centralizers, Hydro Hammer (S-150 & S-90)
  • Train, Mentor and develop other less experienced members of the offshore team - transferring knowledge, best practice, and skills
  • Support and promote internal training and competence programs, by setting examples and driving high performance behaviour
  • Act as a “captain” for the Operations Manager when on and offshore - leading on QHSE performance and adherence to operations standards.
  • Perform equipment servicing and troubleshooting such as Multi String Cutter, Diamond Wire Cutter, Hydraulic Power Unit, Air Compressor, Hugh Pressure Pump, Diesel Engine, Etc in line with Claxton Technical and Safety requirements
  • Diagnose/repair any equipment faults in both Offshore and workshop
  • Follow, and adhere to, all applicable workshop documentation and standards
  • Assist to correctly mobilize, maintain and operate equipment
  • Adhere to Claxton, and where appropriate Client Company’s, Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policies and Safety Management Systems
  • Provide clear instructions during offshore and onshore operations to minimize risk and maximize quality of performance
  • Actively pursue learning and development of competence in Claxton Facility
  • Participate in finding solutions to complex technical problems
  • Document lessons learnt, opportunities for improvement and non-conformances
  • May required to Drive 15T Forklift, Potential Working at Height, Operating of Gantry Crane

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ Experience in Oil & Gas Service Environment, specifically on subsea cutting, decommissioning and Hydro Hammer equipment
  • A Diploma degree in engineering* or technology (*Mechanical or electrical/electronic or hybrid thereof)
