Responsibilities:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Operational Risk Officer. This role will lead the ORE Program’s independent monitoring activities as per Operational Risk Management and Operational Risk Event policy. We are looking for a leader who brings operational risk experience to support independent monitoring activities in adherence to the ORE Policy. This leader will also support the Head of ORE with third-party reviews as applicable.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the ORE Program’s oversight monitoring activities for ORE Policy adherence within the established timelines, including communication and disposition of observations.
- Develop and/or enhance various monitoring activities including documentation of processes / controls, desktop procedures, and associated management reporting.
- Aggregate, review, and present monitoring results to the Head of ORE including observations and recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Partner with the Operational Risk Business Oversight (ORBO) teams to ensure consistent and timely execution of monitoring activities and Operational Risk Reviews (ORRs), including development and presentation of education/training materials and recurring formal communications from the ORE program.
- Collaborate with ORE team members and stakeholders as needed for other enhancement efforts and/or remediation projects, as necessary.
- Support engagements with IT&V, Audit, other third-party review partners, as necessary.
